CHELSEA APARTMENT, MANHATTAN NY

For The Art Collector

This project is for a client who loves to entertain and has a vast art collection. He wanted the apartment to reflect his personality and showcase his art collected from all over the world.

The living room has an art gallery feel and we gradated the wall color from a deep blue to a light grey- transitioning from the entry/ kitchen foyer to the living room.

The client loves to entertain and the living room is designed keeping that in mind with a comfortable deep couch, a swivel chair and a half and a storage coffee table.

We provided a rugged yet comfortable leather arm chair for a sit down with a drink moment.

The living and dining spaces flow into each other and we included an extendable dining table for flexibility. Reupholstered and refinished vintage dining chairs flank the dining table bringing in pattern yet letting the art be the focal point.

The kitchen had the common NYC kitchen issue - lack of enough counter space. To overcome this we added a kitchen island table that provided more counter space, storage and seating.

The master bedroom is covered in a vibrant wallpaper that has an efferevescent feel you want to spring up to every morning.

The client works mostly from the office but liked the idea of having a small desk in his bedroom for those occasional work from home days.
